They are right. About 15 years ago my now 102 year old grandmother started writing these stories about her life growing up on a farm in southern Illinois. Holy fuck, every time I wanted to complain about how hard I had it I would think about her and just stfu.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" The dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me capitalism. Your mother, she's the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the people. The nanny, we'll consider her the working class. And your baby brother, we'll call him the future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense." The little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has soiled his diaper. The little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "Well, while capitalism is screwing the working class, the government is sound asleep, the people are being ignored and the future is in deep sh-t."

So about a year ago I became fascinated with the crypto currency market. Started as a Bitcoin inquiry but then I started to learn about the block chain technology and the defi and smart contracts applications. Started throwing some of my side hustle money at some projects that looked promising. When the largest companies in the world are partnering with these projects you know there is some potential. Well we like to measure our dicks about how our investments are doing in the stock market so when I saw what my little just under $8000 investment was at today I kinda snickered. I have accounts on 2 exchanges but it's $48,000 as of today. Doubled in just the last month. 600% in the last year since I started. I'm going to pull out my initial investment today.

Not a chance, if there is an election tomorrow Trudeau wins a majority.....he has no opposition and has already bought the vote....no one person under 45 will vote anything but Trudeau......why not they are being paid to sit on their ass......it’s free.....now When he wins in the fall he will pass a bill and introduce a tax on all home owners who have earned their principal residence, he will then go after your inheritance and RRSPs and anything the last few hard working Canadians have. He has no choice, the country is broke and a recession on the way.....we are the only money makers left.....and Trudeau and his followers like Trail will line up to support him, ....so open your wallet. We are witnessing the down fall of western society....

What drives me nuts is with the amount of information available at our fingertips these days and the most simple information about our country or its history or dozens of other topics the youth and even adults have zero idea about. When I see those on campus or on street interviews and the most simple questions on topics people know nothing about is insane. Seen one the other day on the Holocaust and another on the Civil War. Wanted to pull my fucking hair out.

People have this fucking weird view of the past where everything was good and clean, everyone was a great citizen and got along great.
