ckf
I've always been fortunate to be able to ride from home. When we lived in NH I did have to wait for the lake to freeze to access the trails. Here in VT I have access before the lakes freeze, but I can miss a bunch of crappy trails once the lakes freeze up. Can you ride from home or do you need to trailer to ride?
kimzrcc
As long as the forecast comes thru this year .... Yes, open garage door and GO! About 1/2 mile from trail.
smokin george
The trail runs behind our lot. We have a ton of trails that lead in all directions providing we have snow. Last year we ran out of sugar so I hopped on the sled and went into town lol
muskoka man
ride right out of the shop onto D trail in Port Sydney Ont , love it and no rd rash, was important when we bought
tool_guy
We can leave from our house. Go down to the end of our dead end street and access the trail through the neighbors (a good friend and sledder) property when we have enough snow. This didn't happen much last year. ckf
I have to go about 100 yards on the side of a town road that's open to snowmobiles to get to the trail that leads to the lake. If the lakes aren't frozen yet then I have to ride the edge of the road for about 3/4 of a mile to get to the trail.
Mileage Psycho
I have to trailer to get to any type of snowmobile trail, and I have to ride illegally to get to legal ditch riding.
Stoney
I could but rarely do....I rather trailer the distance to trails & conditions I enjoy riding on. And lake running around Simcoe no longer interest me.

ArcticCrusher
There is a trail that connects to my lake, but until that is set I have to run a few miles of road rash.

Platinum Contributing Member Shifty Posted September 25, 2016 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted September 25, 2016 Right across my front yard and down about 500' of my own access trail and I'm on NH corridor 5. Turn left and its 2 miles to town/gas. Turn right and it's into some of the best trails in New England.
Zambroski
I can go through my back yard onto the power lines to the main state trail, or, ditch bang there. It's fun to do either. Bought this property with that in mind.
Platinum Contributing Member Rigid1 Posted September 26, 2016 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted September 26, 2016 I can if there is snow, about 6mi of an outlaw/goat path trail to get to legit trails.
gravy davey
Yes right out the garage door No groomed trails all boon docking and two track's If I had to ride groomed trails I don't think I would even ride too many sled's and idiot's riding them
01mxz800
1/4 mile from my house is the trail, my street is a designated snowmobile route in and out of town, and I maintain and groom this section for our club so I have it made when we get snow
Stud boy
I could ride out of the house like the neighbor does. It's just a short run through the local high school and public school, but I don't want to damage our garage floor with the studs and carbides. I ride out of our shop on the other side of town, just a few hundred meters to the trail. Plus the sleds thawed off and I can clean it more easily. 2strokemerc
About 1 mile by trailer to the groomed trail or two blocks to the lake if I want to scratch the city streets.
Kevin
Right out the door to 100s of miles of groomed trails in every direction or 30 miles of trails to get to the good deep snow off trail stuff
Legend
I can ride from my place in S WI to Ontario CA, if we have snow. Trails around here never opened last year. My favorite though is to trailer 1200 miles to the Rocky Mtns.

dirtybeacher
I'm about half mile to the trail. I have two routes, one is the subdivision road I live on which is all snow covered on good years. Also have a good ditch along a main rd, that always has lots of snow in it.
