One of my favorite threads on the old site was this thread. :bbq:

Anyone here in to low and slow BBQ?

I just have a Weber Kettle that I setup for offset cooking to smoke. I've got an 8lb pork shoulder to smoke for tomorrow night. Couldn't pass it up at $.49 / lb.

What's a hoe cake?

I picked up another butt today. I bought some King's Hawaiian hamburger rolls and dinner rolls for sliders.

It's a cornbread, they are called hoe cakes because the field workers cooked them on their hoes.  Not to be confused with the hoe that works Sandy's.

Pulled some ribs out of the freezer That we cooked a month ago. That was lunch and they were great heated up. I’m going to start cooking a extra slab from now on. Going to order some Chinese for dinner. 94 deg and no wind = no cooking. The humidity is through the roof with all of the corn fields near me.

Good eats. My $10 cast iron pan from Wally World worked great for the cornbread. Pork was a little overdone and fell apart a bit while cutting.

I gave the dog the little piece of scrap that I had trimmed from the ribs and moved the ribs to the top shelf.

Time to add the chicken.

Local bbq joint in Green Bay WI. I have to say, it was fantastic and everything is smoked out back. Spare ribs and brisket that was thick sliced, not chopped. Both were just fabulous as was the mac and cheese. Beans were good, not great. Cornbread was top notch. :bc:

Their siracha bbq sauce was my personal favorite
