It wasnt great on fuel imo...was slightly better then my 1200....its thirsty if you are given the dinah all day.

We ran with a 1200 Gade and a 900 Blizzard and at a pretty good clip. The 900 used slightly less than than the 1200 and we used about 10 litres ea more than them. The price difference btwn our carb"d Gades and those sleds buys alot of oil n gas.

Warming up to the 900 turbo. I bet it has almost no lag. Tune it for 170-180 hp and it’ll be a great sled. The older turbo sleds for trail riding were heavy as balls and laggy

There is still quite a bit of intercooler plumbing, so there may be some lag unless they have added some fancy bypasses to help with that like Yamaha did.  The 900 turbo is mounted nice and low compared to the Yamacat though.  Should give it a better center of gravity.

The question will be if you can add 40 ponies and keep the exhaust the same.   That will help keep the mods price under control.  4 stroke aftermarket exhausts must all be made with some gold or something as expensive as they get.

Especially since most suppliers are just taking a $120 magnaflow automotive muffler slapping a "your name here" placard on it and welding on a flange to fit the Yamacat..

An extra 40 mustangs for a G note isn't too shabby.

Much different than would be needed on the sled to go from 150 to 180.

Mcx got 170 out of it decompressed. That was max on pump gas. You guys are dreaming if you think it will hit anywhere near 190 on pump. It has chincy internals that need upgrading. It's going to be laggy because it's decompressed. A 1200 with a low boost kit would crush a race gas 900.

I would be surprised if they didn't upgrade the internals on it with a factory turbo would be dumb not to unless they like rebuilding endlessly under warranty :dunno: and further an already bad reputation for reliability

I don't think anyone is realistically thinking it will compete with a 1200 low boost turbo.   If it can be gotten to 180 on pump and minimal lag it would be a fun trail sled.

I feel sorry for the guys that forked out $4200 for this kit to get to 135 hp.

You know this doesn't have the same internals as the plain 900 right? Neither does the sxs
