  1. VTI and SCHD are my two biggest holdings, VTI being the largest by 50%. I have several individual stocks too. I spent more money this past month than I thought I would, but with a sale like this, I couldn't help but drain the savings to buy more.
  2. No oil..... it's basically an air fryer. Took it off at 110 and it was perfect rare - medium raure
  3. Yeah, that's what it takes in the winter when it's really cold out. Usually less time, like 10-12 minutes per lb. https://www.charbroil.com/the-big-easy-outdoor-air-fryer-24102165?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4-y8BhC3ARIsAHmjC_G8DoRjfsgzTtVv6-yANDp8nyRBkJ08IUIURZnG4iCKgc9ogCgfXqUaAkA6EALw_wcB
  4. I do prime rib in my big easy turkey fryer. Only takes a few hours and cooks it perfectly 👌
  5. I like using my smoker on thick steaks or pork chops. Smoke it up to desired temp, then sear on the grill or pan. I prefer the grill since it doesn't make a mess I have to clean up. Get the grill up to 600+ and hit it both sides just enough to char the fat
  6. CDs are a terrible idea. First off, you shouldn't have a ton of money just sitting around. Past having 3-6 months of emergency funds, the rest should be invested. So, say you're keeping $50k cash in the bank, a high interest savings account is all you need. Why lock that money away to make at most a couple hundred bucks more? No way am I putting money in jail for such a small gain. Once I hit $50k in savings, every penny past that is going into low cost index funds. VTI is my main investment, with SCHD being about 50% of VTI, then a few individual stocks Averaging 3-4% each year with savings and CDs gets you no where with these inflation rates
  7. I don't think involvement from the largest auto manufacturer in the world who also is invested in Rivian is a bad thing. The opposite actually. I'm guessing this thing will share a lot with the RT1
  8. Indiana's governor issues an executive order eliminating DEI for MEI as well Merit, excellence and innovation Pretty sad that wasn't always the way to hire people
  9. I use Ally, they are at 3.8%. It got up to 4.25% last year. Or, now isn't a bad time to invest in dividend ETFs like SCHD. Almost 4% dividend and averages around 11% yearly returns in total in the long term. Currently down over 5% the last month, so a good time to buy
  10. For this case, why not buy the lightning? Save money on the price tag plus not look like a total douch bad
  11. Yeah, those numbers don't add up at all..... only 15-20 miles trips but spends $65 a day? Current has prices and assuming the Ram could do 15 mpg, that means he was making 7-8 of those short trips a day. I guess if he works 12 hour days and only spends 10 minutes at each job the math works
  12. Mine was really good quality and mated up perfect
  13. I'm running the VRSF catless downpipe and MHD tune. Been absolutely flawless! Mine is the GEN1, so I'm maxed for power with my fuel pump. Been debating on upgrading it and going E40 tune. My BIL is running that on his M340 and it makes 507hp and over 600 ft-lbs at the wheels
  14. My buddy has an M550, very sweet car but a lot more money than the 540. 523 hp is nothing to sneeze at. That being said, I've never owned a vehicle as good as my 340. Haven't put one dime into fixing anything on it. My mods are just a downpipe, intake and stage 2 tune. It's night and day faster than stock, and stock is not slow by any means. My wifes X7 with the B58 is hands down quicker than our tahoe we traded it for. About 10mpg average better too
  15. Only failed because batteries really sucked 120 years ago. I watched a video the other day off a couple guys driving and reviewing a 1901 Waverly. It had golf cart batteries in it, but everything else was original and still working perfectly. They said the motor was never touched for 120 years! Gasoline cars were actually outlawed in NYC because they scared the horses
  16. So by my math, we have 43 days until July 4th, the US burns 9 million barrels a day, so 387 million between now and then. If you take the oil he's releasing from the reserve as a percentage of total and apply that to our current gas prices, it should go down just shy of $0.01 per gallon. This is definitely news worthy! Not sure how I'll spend all my savings. FJB
  17. My B58 is now 8 years old with just over 90k. Stage 2 93+ tuned currently, been tuned in some fashion since 40k miles. Brakes, tires and oil changes, that's it. This platform is rock solid. My BIL is running an E40 tune pushing 25psi on the stock turbo with zero issues. The only reason I'm not in E40 is if need to upgraded the fuel pump and I just don't feel I need that much more power (for now)
  18. I got the adapter to run my 20v dewalt batteries in mine. Works great and lasts a heck of a lot longer with a 6ah on it.
  19. Here in Indy, 100% was pretty cool
  20. Mine was 32k 5 years ago. You can find some for under 20k. $500 for a tune, $300 for a downpipe
  21. Spend just a bit more for a B58. More reliable and easy to make big power too. I have just a downpipe and tune for 420hp to the wheels. My BIL is running E40 on his and is much quicker than mine. 90k miles, 50k been tuned and have not done one single repair
