A bud of mine was 68 , a few months ago I asked him " why the hell are you still working" 

Well he answered , " what else am I going to do all day"

He runs a huge excavator at a quary unless they need him on roads jobs.  Today the wall of the quarry collapsed dropping rocks the size of pick up trucks on top of him burying him alive .  He was one of the 4 of us that sled together in winters. Im fucking devestated

Wow... that's rough, really sorry.

But being he never retired, he was doing what he liked to do obviously. 

 I kinda have the same mindset and still regret retiring sometimes. Everytime I see a UPs truck when driving down the road....I say to my wife, "that should be me".... she's tired of hearing it.

Again sorry, that's a brutal way to go.
