A buddy sent a text last night and said 4 trees came down. One on his lot and 4 fell next door and just missed a couple of vehicles. I went down to his place to give him a hand clean up. The F150 got a polish/ceramic in my garage and another happy guy on his way. A buddy dropped in for a beer and offered me space in his big new shop so I can work in there anytime which I might take him up on.

There is a judge and multiple people count ballots, in addition each candidate can have a watcher, just like when you go to a polling station once you are given a ballot your name is checked off, when John Doe's ballot is received he is checked off if another ballot same name same address comes in it is set aside and dealt with, if a voter mails in a ballot then goes to a polling place he is given a provisional ballot, the first ballot is set aside and the provisional ballot will be counted, but usually days later. Because in some places people have to stand inline for 6 to 8 hours, that is reason enough. An absentee ballot is a mail in ballot, and for most states it was applications that were sent out not ballots. A number of states use mail in without issues.

It doesn't matter if 1000 ballots are sent to Jon Doe only 1 vote will be counted for him, and the signature check needs to match and if that many ballots were returned somebody will be charged with voter fraud. No it's insane you think it will, states have been voting by mail for decades. Like it or not and you obviously don't, study after study and court case after court case has proven voter fraud is an extremely low number. The voter fraud thing is pushed by people who just can't accept that anyone could think differently than they do, and therefore any time their candidate loses it must be voter fraud.
