I wouldn't have believed the great horned owl in these parts but I seen it for myself after I got woken up at midnight due the skunk smell that made it's way into the house! Those suckers are huge! Seen this one a couple years ago but unsure what type of bird it is? Looks like a red-tailed hawk

Last year I had 5 chipmunks running around and a couple of squirrels. Since we installed the commercial bait stations to kill the mice in the spring, the chipmunks have disappeared....lol

dirtybeacher
On top of the escarpment this morning. Warm temps next week though, which is fine by me. I have a lot of work to do on my machine, and don't want to use electric heat in my garage just yet.

Don't know for sure, but I think both are still open. I can update you on that. There is a new one outside creemore. Nw corner of 9 and 42(airport Rd). There was one there previously many years ago, and the trail used to be nearby. (Maybe still is).
Stoney
Just had the new truck tires installed, looks like good timing based on the shift in the weather pattern. Hopefully things stay closer and below the freezing mark.

Frostynuts
I blew out my driveway this morning near the St. Lawrence River and we had about 8 inches, yes inches, of wet packy snow by around 10 am this morning. We now have at least another couples of inches on the driveway around 3.30 pm. Might head out to Limmerick Forest to run the main roads a bit tomorrow.
