Winter 2017

Recommended Posts

Muskoka getting hammered. Snow for 3 days straight...calling for another 2 feet by Saturday. 3rd snow day in a row for schools(what a joke).

I started on a snow depth stick but didn't get around to numbers and a good position yet...my wood pile is in the way in this pic. Still you can get an idea.

Looking good.

Just snapped this from my cottage in Parry Sound.

Everyone leaves them in here.  You guys lug them to shore?

Yes, we do..  Our lake drops about 8 feet so we pull it up on shore. It has wheels underneath.  Left our original dock in for 2 winters and it was screwed after the 2nd.

Who cares though, if it works its a lot less pain in the ass

Thankfully our lake does not drop also we are in a protected bay, the dock will last 15 years and will be replaced then.

We looked at a place on a lake (Wahwashkes or whatever) that had a massive spring change and no doubt the docks would not have lasted there.

8 feet or 8 inches?

I know lakes up that way drop, but I think only about 12 to 18 inches.
