Morning-

77 / 65 and mostly clear-  Fawk, its humid out there.  Visit with my mom and then therapy after.  Was going to cut the lawns but they are pretty dry and havent grown much.... they can wait until the weekend.  Seeing its national hot dog day, Trigs Smokehouse dawgs are great.  The dawgs the carts dudes sell downtown are pretty awesome as well.

You aint seen nothing yet from the weather report I saw this AM. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be very hot and humid in the northeast

The July race is the 1st one that we gave up our tickets for years ago because it was to fucking hot to sit there and bake in the sun all day. Even the September race could be warm. The Thanksging weekend race after 9/11 was perfect.

When they originally built the speedway they made an agreement with the town (it might even have been the neighboring town of Canterbury) that they would not install lights for night racing. I *think* I read something recently about NHMS trying to put in lights.  Thing is there used to be a race at the old track that was at that location every Friday or Saturday night.

I almost melted in Atlanta. Currently in the mountains in Tn. Still hot, but not as humid. Only supposed to get to 80 today.

it’s cloudy and muggy here. 70 degrees. Decided to take the day off as I got some things to do. 

Not sure what happened to my pics I’ll check it. 

Have yet to get to NHMS. One of these days. Also want to see the NHRA show at New England dragway

I haven't been to an NHRA event at New England Dragway, but had a lot of fun there back in the late 80's on their Wednesday night run what ya brung events

Yup! Fuck that noise. My neighbors go every year, I do not. They always come back looking like dehydrated sweaty lobsters. I go to the later ones.

Yeah Lebanon Valley has events like that. I want to get the Nova there to see what it will run. Friend of mine goes to New England Dragway often to run his 66 Nova

It was a blast!  All I had was my '87 Monte SS, but it was still fun. 14.9 @ 90mph, LOL.   1st thing I would do would be to loosen the bolts on the front side of the catalytic convertor so I could drop it down to bypass it. Eventually I just took it off and uised a crowbar to gut it out, LOL. 

Denny @45th parallel  seems to be having a blast bracket racing at Oxford.  I tried it a few times back in the day too
