Your places are beautiful. Our lake is just opening up around the edges. We had an incredibly cold January so it will be a little late opening up this year. Finished up my paddle yesterday, did a bit of yard work, went for a bike ride and visited our trailer park neighbors for a bit. I guess today, and for the next 3-4, will all be spent inside mostly? It says rain here 3-4 days as well. A buddy gave me 5 paddles yesterday. Two of them are pretty old so were doing one of those for his cabin. The varnish/urethane was already over half missing and the rest was peeling. I sanded everything up good with a belt sander then applied an ipswhich pine stain (sp?) then 2 coats of clear urethane. A couple small runs in a couple of places but you need to look at it hard to see them. Good enough for my for a paddle that spends its life in the side locker. Thanks for the info, George. I've been hiding in the garage lol and goofing around with some cutting/sanding.
