Well what’s with these EV nerds

how is that different than just taking gas?

he’s probably going to be here for a month and never did ask, or offer a guy a few bucks or even the old staple of a handle of whiskey for the use either

nope, he drives an EV so he’s entitled

Guy on a construction crew has a poofter car. Thinks it’s fine to just plug into anyones power without asking

I unplugged the fuckin thing and tossed the cord

That's the equivalent of pulling into a gas station, pumping gas and pulling away. It's theft! Are they too dumb or just don't care

I don’t get how they don’t understand that

I would have just installed an energy meter on the outlet and handed him a bill at the end of the day.  Pretty cheap on Amazon.

Whose power was he stealing? Looks to be grid power.

I had to think about it as it is pretty standard on a job site. I plug into building power for my tools etc without really asking the building owner.

I'm trying to equate it to going into someone else sea can and helping myself to their gas for my generator.

Being a car I think muddies the waters.

Guy is a douche in the end I suppose.

That's my takeaway from the whole thing.  If he had asked about it, and given the OK, that's one thing.  But to just plug in?  Yeah, that's a bit douchey.

Tesla guy should know that you would think.

Tesla mobile charger is plenty long to plug directly into the outlet and reach the charge port on the car in that configuration.  From factory they come with the 120 volt adapter for the mobile charger in that model year of a Tesla.  And it’s not green.

Notice how the pic doesn’t show the charge port on the car……

Maybe he didn't want it stolen. Extension chords are cheap.
