Well, there is that aspect of it I suppose.  I don't necessarily disagree with the idea of any other news is better than the continued BS with Trump charges.

I'm guessing a fair amount of people had hope they were still alive. It would've been a great story if that would've been the case.

Pretty hard to think there was ever a chance for survival but I suppose some people are eternal optimists.

I know. Myself I figured they were dead as well. :(

Maybe for future reference, any vessel in that area of water should avoid these letters in their vessel's name T-I-T-A-N ... it doesn't seem to result in much success.

roughly 2500 psi or more when that thing imploded depending on the depth when it imploded.

Easy math, if you just round it off.

Scuba diving helps.

15 psi up top, every 30 feet add 15 psi.

Titanic dept, if it made it that far

(12500/30) x 15 = 6250 psi

You missed a 0.  25,000 PSI at 2 miles below the ocean surface.

Nope.

See above.

That math is pretty solid

👍

Seems lite but it's a mute point and I'm to lazy to look it up.

Probably more cyclical loads on the carbon fiber from the repeated dives and lack of testing at the pressure and temperatures.

That’s probably how it plays out.

First of its kind.

Carbon fibre and titanium.

Likely find it did not take well to pressure loading and unloading and developed undetected flaws.

2500 at 1 mile, 5000 at 2 miles, they are guessing that thing imploded about 1 mile down and that's when they lost communication with the death trap or there abouts..............

33 feet = 15 psi

Sad situation for sure. That’s a lot of pressure no doubt.

Anyone ever see this movie? Really good with a host of good actors.
