Jerry 976 Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 Something to think about, they are still cleaning up this mess and they are suppose to dig all possibly contaminated soil out and properly dispose of it or reclaim it as hazardous waste . As far as I can see the train tracks were put back in place asap and the trains are running again, to me they did not remove the contaminated soil from under the tracks before reinstalling the tracks. JMO it's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and $$$$$$$$$$ that would have been lost for every minute the trains were not running thru that area. The facility is in Salineville, Ohio, which is located approximately 25 miles southwest of East Palestine. Giant Eagle says the move is out of an abundance of caution as testing had found no evidence of contamination. This only impacts containers of water one gallon and larger.
