Russia's GDP and military budget is about 2/3's of Canada's (per capita).   Let that sink in how long they can afford to fight.

I posted that a couple weeks ago. Troops are quitting and giving up. No back up, no support, no supplies...

Putin has been pulling the grunts from Tajikistan. It's a highly impoverished area where he finds eager recruits. This way he prevents families in Moscow and St Petersburg from experiencing the loss of a family member.
