Jerr2Star
Drove three hours last night to pick up a sled in dire need of some love, moving up from a 2001 Mountain cat 800 to a 2013 M8000. Cons: steering slop, need to remove wrap, broken ski loop, no keys and im sure ill find more. Pros: 12 years newer than current sled, reverse works, paid less than $3500, has clean title, great suspension, no missing lugs, under 3k miles.

The upgraded/bigger windshield really doesn't give much more wind protection, I have both of those windshields

Use anything but those. There is reason when every snowmobile club posts a lost bag, it is usually the cam style cat bag. I would wait another month and see if cat offers the new quick attach system as an option for the older sleds Edited February 5, 2023 by Not greg b
SayatodaU.P.eh?
If Sled Solutions could get a company to make their bags, I’d recommend their bags. I have a couple that are 10ish seasons old. Still work like new and I leave them on the sled when I power wash it. Jerr2Star
Removed the hideous wrap that was on the sled, the crap was nearly as thick as a credit card. Took 2 hours to get to this point with a heat gun. Any tips on how to remove rust discoloration on white powder coat?

The only problem with the sled solutions bag on the cat trail sled is the tunnel is not deep enough in the rear to mount it tight. The straps tightened all the way, aren’t tight enough to really hold the bag on good. The best I found to mount it was to take the bag out of the plastic tray, bolt the tray to the tunnel, put the bag back in the tray and strap it down. Then it’s not going anywhere

Put one on my buddies 16 ZR. We got it to tie down good without much fuss that I remember. It stayed on when he smoked a tree and totaled it last year too.
