Texas Roadhouse is IMO the best place for steak of the big chains.  Even given that I eat there once a year maybe twice.  Prob end up at chili's, applebees, olive garden and outback a handful combined.

I go to Longhorn once a week for lunch as it's right down the street and they make a great chicken and strawberry salad but i would not get a steak there I'd make it at home.

I like longhorn too. And we dont go to either very often. For steak locally you cant beat tacos!

if it wasn't for it being so close to the office i would prob never go there.  We usually do lunch out 2-3x a week so it's there and either Japanese or vietnamese.  At the Vietnamese place I get Pho with brisket and steak in it,  it's pretty delish on a cold day.

Theres a pad thai place by my office that I tried recently. It is pretty good. There is probably half a dozen hibachi places. The dindus love those for some reason.

amazing how many japanese places keep popping up.  We've had 7-8 new ones open in the last 10 years,  some with the hibachi others primarily sushi.

I only do Thai when my daughters around as the wife doesn't like it.  Prob eat there a few times when she's home for xmas.

Of all of those hibachi places near here there is only 1 that is really good. We just went there Friday for a guy in the office birthday. We were the only white people in there. Birthday boy looks around and says "Is this Martin Luther King Drive?"

we have 2 good ones and I haven't tried the other that recently opened in the old red lobster then TGIFridays spot for the hibachi.  The lunch specials were OK but the other place is better.  Chains are flailing around here-  outback, Fridays, ruby Tuesday, bugaboo creek all closed in the last few years,  we have seen some local losses as well but most were quickly replaced by another joint.   in the town i work in there is more restaurant seats than there is population but it's a dine local population base.

Most on fridays only.

I will have to check it out Only time I ever go to casino is the one across the street from Foggy's after we have eaten. Throw a $20 into the slots and see what happens. Last 2 times I've done that, I walked out with $165 and $195 within 5 minutes of inserting $20. Last time I put a $20 in and hit max bet and hit on first time.  Hit cash out immediately and walked away to cash in my ticket.

Only place I'll get a steak at is Lucky's (small local chain of about 6 restaurants)  Texas Roadhouse is a rip off and Longhorn is shitty. I can't even remember the last time I went to a Longhorn.
