They could always get another job, maybe gain another skill.  No one forced them to work there.  The ageism was a nice touch, like young people don't own restaurants?  Or was it just an anti Chiles rant?  And what does 10,000 bucks worth of electronics have fuckall to do with anything?

Maybe they did and now nO oNe WaNtS tO wOrK

   Govt paying workers to remain idol is now "basic market forces."  :lmao:

The government skewing the economy isn't either. The imbalance created by 40 years of reliance on debt has to be balanced out or capitalism is done for.

I don't think many on here would completely disagree with that however its a far cry from the shit you've been posting and some form of "true communism or socialism" being the answer.

Socialism and communism are inevitable. At some point, automation will supplant most human labor, and since robots don't earn wages to buy commodities, how would we run a consumer economy with no paid consumers?

So the only way a more automated society is able to exist is under socialism or communism?

So who will design, and service all this automation?   The robots?

Hate to break it to you but we are a LONG ways off automation replacing all human's can do.   Yes some jobs will go by the wayside and those jobs lost do need to be considered in some manner.  I'm not saying a UBI is the answer either.   Parents, our education system and even individuals need to have some eye to the future regarding what they desire to do.    No different than even your version of "communism" people have to make themselves valuable to that society.

I saw a minivan outside of Home Depot here in AZ about 9 or 10 months ago with a sign on it for this site.

https://www.chemtrailprotection.org/

I took a photo of the van so I'd remember to go check out the site later.  Holy fuck, I'm glad I did!  Check it out, and navigate the sitemap a bit...

Might have been me.  I know I posted it earlier.  Still cracks me up!

What's odd, is on one of the sites they list an address for a "temple."  It's actually a very nice home in Maricopa AZ that was last sold in 2018.  There's absolutely zero about the listing for the house that's even remotely wacky...  Not sure if the real estate stagers just did a good job or if this is a total sham.

Wonder if the new owners know they live in a temple.

so no incentive to give good service then.  SMH.   Waiting tables is a commission sales job.  No reason your not making 20-30/hr if you work at the right place and are good

Fuck my son makes almost 20 expediting food in the kitchen.

Talking to the girl slinging drinks at Tootsies in Nashville.  She was a RN, who drove 3hrs to work there  for 3days .  With hotel still making more money with tips than being full time nurse.  If you got the body and personality you can make big money.  Surprisingly,  no one wants to tip big shitty service or listen to a fat ugly girl complain about having to work .

I agree as I dont like to tip as much for shitty service but most other countries dont do it the way we do, they pay their servers so your performance would be evaluated by their employer anyway... Hopefully

I agree but there are alot of people who dont view tipping as a requirement. I have some of those in my extended family and its embarrassing as fuck. Plus you ask any server around here and they will tell you that the black folks do not tip. In fact if they are paying cash they will DEMAND exact change down to the penny.

So is it wrong to only base the tip on the food and drink cost? I tip on the bill less tax. I'm not a cheap tipper at all but why should I pay an additional 20% on 9% tax? Anyone else subtract the tax?

I suppose if that extra $1 or so on a $50 meal is important, have at it...

Whatever I am not trying to preach what other people should tip but seeing as how these servers make less than minimum wage their livelihoods depend on them. If I get shitty service my tip will reflect that but if i get exceptional service I will tip more.

I have favorite places that I frequent so I have gotten to know many of the servers and they have told me that covid has decreased their income by at least 30% so I have upped my tipping because COVID has been pretty good to me and I feel bad for them.

x2.  Christ I've even been tipping for takeout.  One of my pet peeves however is when getting the takeout, they spin the I pad thing around and ask for the tip in advance.  For some reason I find that presumptuous and annoying.  I haven't even gotten my food yet, and I still have to get my own forks, knives, napkins, etc., as well as fill my soda.  I still tip, but don't like that system at all.

Yeah I dont really like that. 15% for handing me my food that I paid for? Do you tip the McDonalds window people? I mean wtf?

the Dunkin donuts around here are all owned by Indian people. And at Christmas time when they hand me me coffee thru the window they physically push this big jar in my face that says "Christmas tip". First of all these people arent christians so they just think we throw money around because its Christmas and they want some. So I give them a "hail satan" and drive off cuz Im a dick like that LOL

I tip extremely well on the whole bill.   Almost exclusively in cash and write "TIT" in the gratuity line.  Rarely do I tip under 25%.   I don't eat out that much so an extra 5-10% over a year's time is not a big deal.  If the service is shitty I might only tip about 10% and occasionally nothing.   The tip should not be guaranteed even with poor service or food.

This I agree with. We are at the point of no return, it will have to crash completely and start over as there is no way to reverse it at this point.

I'm generally easy to wait on, as long as you don't spill hot coffee down my back, you'll usually get a decent tip.  I usually just tip 20+% on the total.  Close enough.  Two things I've become a prick about.  If I'm ordering a 12-14 buck cocktail, put some fucking booze in it, and if its a martini, it better be icy.  Secondly, don't bring my entrees out with my salad, or about 2 minutes after the salad came out.  That annoys the eff outta me.

I know that it may seem like I am cheap but I'm not. If the back of the house fucks up the meal I don't hold it against the server unless she/he has no regard for the quality of the meal that they just brought to me. I spend a fair amount of money on dining out and will not give a "reward" to someone just because. Still have to earn it.
