I can be argued that civilization barely moved at all without capitalism.  One can just look at the many countries that started to really flourish under it then, was squashed by a socialist dictator leading to millions of deaths from starvation, disease and of course, the mass murdering of all those that opposed starvation and disease.

China and Vietnam even practice its own form of capitalism.  Before that millions starved.

Yep.   The story of the Little Red Hen.   My old man showed me that when I was just a kid.

Without capitalism we'd be stuck in the middle ages.

It didn't come very far.   You are blind to not see this.

Lmao, you have to be completely ignorant of history not to see that humanity advanced by leaps and bounds long before capitalism.

When do define the beginning of capitalism?

Coming from the guy that thinks we would have the modern society we do if we would have been practicing unicorn communism the whole time.

Tell us again how random individuals without corporate structure would have created today's airline industry on a whim?   Or how about your Cruiser.....you think that would have been made without capitalism?

"Leaps and bounds".  Starting like when we crawled out of the primordial ooze?

Let's play, "Make a Timeline!"

I would say society hasnt advanced by leaps and bounds except in the last 100 years and more specifically the last 30 years.

:news:

Lots of the advancement was because of communism.  We gave the dirty Russians more credit than they deserved and thought they were advancing.

Yeah well the soviets stole German scientists and engineers at the end of WW2 and then threw them in labs to work. Basically prisoners so yeah they advanced militarily while most of their country starved and lived in poverty. Sounds great...

I would like to see the great examples of communism and achievement in the last several thousand years, there has to be at least one, right @motonoggin?

It's hilarious how you people don't trust the government as far as you can throw them, but y'all definitely eat up all the propaganda they have to serve on the subject of communism...

Humanity has been around at least 10,000 years.

Capitalism has only been around like 500 years or so, and has only achieved dominance over the planet for about 200 years.

Regardless, we've always invented better and better ways to organize civil society. This isn't the end of that evolution. It's silly to believe otherwise.

So who implements communism?

Freedom is more important than anything else. Forcing someone do be a part of something they don't want to is not freedom.
