The temp gauge is usually between 500-600 when I put the meat on.

Those were also pub burgers. Loaded with cheddar, peppers and onions. I do steaks on the charcoal. I only used the q when I’m in a hurry, burgers, hot dogs ECT.

Smoked turkey is my fav.

It was nice and juicy too. I ordered a cheap meat slicer last week so we can start slicing our own sandwich meats.

New unit put together. Have to peel all that store display crap off. Looks huge, but main cooking grate is only a couple inches wider than my GMG

Looks good.  Is it completely automatic like a pellet smoker?

Theres a fan underneath. Start the charcoal burning, then set your temp on the controller, 150-700 degrees

I had a craving for a blueberry muffin,  but didn't want to heat up the house with the oven. One of the features that they list is baking with a pellet grill.

Let's give it a try...

I set the dial to high and put the muffins in at 420.

I turned it down to 400 and set a timer for 15 minutes.  I could see by looking at them that the left side is a little warmer than the right. I pulled the ones on the left and left the other side for another 2 minutes.  Nicole was worried that they would taste like smoke,  but we didn't notice any smokey flavor.

We picked up a 5lb butt this week and threw it in the freezer.  Funny you should mention the top rack.  I've got sliced taters in butter wrapped in foil on the top rack right now.  Burgers will be going on soon.
