I have one like that but a 5500. Works awesome.

I've never used mine in an emergency situation, only used it to run some power tools, but that was just to break it in/test it out. When I recently fired it up, I added new high test/ethanol free fuel as I previously siphoned the old out and it fired right up,

Mind you it wasn't cold out but it did surprise me, nonetheless, after sitting for 2 years. I ran a 1500 watt hair dryer off it just to get it hot/try it then did an oil change. It sits in my garage tucked in a corner with Sea Foam in the tank so I should be good to go if and when needed.

For the price, I'm certainly not complaining. The reviews on it at the time were good also. :bc:

Mikey: Where Is He Now?

John Gilchrist. Source: (newsday.com)

Gilchrist eventually left acting to pursue a communications degree at Iona College. His love of the New York Knicks led him to a position at Madison Square Gardens where he landed a job in ad sales as director of media sales. His primary function is negotiating with TV advertisers.

Gilchrist reportedly still enjoys Life cereal and always has it on hand at home. Sadly, he didn’t get a lifetime supply for his spot on the famous commercial. He also reports that he was not and is not a picky eater. He told New York Newsday that "[Mikey is] who I am, but it's only a part of who I am; I have a lot of great things in my life."

He also admits he doesn't remember making the commercial -- after all, he was just three and a half.

Gilchrist now lives in Pelham, NY with his wife and three children. He regularly gets requests to sign autographs and does so happily. He appreciates the ongoing fascination with the commercial and his character although he has said, "I just never looked at it like some huge, big deal. Maybe that comes off to some people like I don't want to talk about it. Totally not the case. I love talking about it. It's a part of me."

Shit, when I saw 26 .I figured you were 21-22

I think the breeze helped keep us from bottoming out. I did see snow in the forecast later next week.  I'd say it's to early, but it will be approaching mid November by then.

Had a productive morning at the Toyota Dealership today. Picking her up a Tacoma on Monday. 2017 with 19,000 miles. Truck was a 3 year lease that was serviced every 5,000 miles, it's absolutely mint. I am definitely not going to miss the Corolla.

Chilly morning here at 0 degrees c but it's sunny and fairly calm out.

With the long range looking pretty steady and on the cool/cold side I think I am going to put the snow tires on. Seems early to me but better safe than sorry.

Anyone else have their's on already? I have 3 vehicles to do but hope to get at least 2 done today?

They show a high of zero this coming Friday with a snow/rain mix so I definitely want to get them on my son's and wife's car. If it warms up it warms up. They say, once temps maintain a 7 c or colder temp is when you should put them on? I have so much on the go I think getting something done today is in order. I still haven't picked up my sleds yet but I am hoping to this week/coming weekend.
