IMO this is over the line for a SC Justice which is why they normally stay silent...how do you feel about her comments and do they cross a line?

She's spot on and it's her right to share her opinion.  Scalia spoke all the time and Thomas does also.  Hardly news worthy.

This is the kind of crap we get when democrats appoint activist SC judges.  You are part of the problem due to the fact that you support that kind of bullshit.

As usual, the Liberal Dems can do what they want regardless of their oaths of office.  And as usual SR, the idiot he is, is completely wrong (again).

Code of Conduct for United States Judges

Canon 5: A Judge Should Refrain from Political Activity

(A) General Prohibitions. A judge should not:

(1) act as a leader or hold any office in a political organization;

(2) make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or

(3) solicit funds for, pay an assessment to, or make a contribution to a political organization or candidate, or attend or purchase a ticket for a dinner or other event sponsored by a political organization or candidate.

Right there it is (2).

She knows she is about to be a minority and her opinions irrelevant on the court, plus she is going to be bowing out :guzzle:

Clearly she is entitled to her opinions but for someone in her position to make public comments about the president or any politician is un-professional IMO. If she is talking with friends that stuff is fine but not publicly. It insinuates she could be biased about things based on her opinions of the people. Not a good reputation for a supreme court justice. And being in that position she should know better. Again just my opinion.

Do you notice how within the last 15 or so years how the liberals like to skirt the fringe edges of the laws?
