Neighbor is very happy with his, travels a lot, has over 300k on it.

Did your buddy say why the engines are failing?

He said it’s usually crank bearings

its a full crate engine fix, and costs way more than the truck is even worth

Jeep is in bed with VM Motori, of Italy.

VM Motori can be  found in industrial, marine , automotive applications....

Happy with mine, not happy about the lack of factory support 😕

3.0 Dmax is a beastly little engine.  The timing chain design is VW-level fucktarded, but everything else about that mill is great.  If I didn't need the payload, I'd have bought a half ton with that engine over my 6.6L Gasser HD.

My 1998 Silverado CC Dually with a 6.5 was a TURD...It ate 3 stanadyne injector pumps in 60k mi...My good friend the service mgr at the dealer I purchased from told me..."Make sure you LEASE this PoS"...It was nice turning in that truck at the end of the lease and walking away...

Those were junk

but the cummins and 7.3 international at the time were bullet proof

then of course the Dmax was a massive step forward

ford went backwards big time with the 6.0 and 6.4

mid 00's for everytone but Ford.   for them early 03 7.3 was their pinnacle before repalcing it with the turd, then a bigger turd.

I love my 6.0 , excellent engine when running right lol. I will fix it when it needs fixing it as the super duty is the best truck of the bunch

My old Man had a 94 2500 Suburban with the 6.5 turbo. Drove it a bunch.

That thing was so fucking slow and was a bitch to start if you didnt get the glow plug time just right.

Relocating the electronics off the top of the pump usually fixed the injector pump issues from my experience.
