Biden administration to forgive $4.8 billion in student loan debt for 80,300 borrowers

Recommended Posts

So pick a number to forgive those with college loan debt - then take that number and distribute it to everyone else who never went to college, or never had to borrow to go to college… yeah, that will never happen.

A simpler way to equally distribute said handouts would be simple tax cuts.  But we all know how that will go…

Have all the congressional Repugs paid back their PPP ‘loans’ yet? :snack:

They never agreed they'd have to.  HUGE difference.

Biden sucks.  Piss poor attempt at manipulation.  Sad day in American history.

If education is too expensive then put things in place to lower the cost of education.   When someone takes out a loan they should pay it back, period.  Dumbest fucking thing ever.

Well in that case I paid off mine.  I'd like it forgiven.  I'll take mine in the form a Ferrari 488 GTB and a Malibu M242

This right here ... 100%

Biden knows he's struggling to keep, or even gain, support so dangling this carrot out there ensures he buys some much needed votes.

this is one aspect that boils my blood... of all the 'free' talk, where the fuck is the talk of making going to a state funded college or university more cost effective?

there is none... our elected officials are incompetent, lazy and frankly don't seem to actually care.

and how about the poor fuckers who didn't go to school but have worked their entire lives?

why should they pay for it?

want a 'free' education?  we already have a program for that, it's called the gdamn GI Bill and has effectively been working since 1944

You are a perfect example of how a College Degree doesn't equal smart and educated. :news:

PPP was dumb but basically available for anyone smart enough to grab it.  That was horrendous, however allowing people to bail on their financial obligations doesn't make that better.  You really can't be this dumb. ..

So should corporations and the wealthy not be allowed to roll their obligations into bankruptcy?

Such a slap in the face for anyone who struggled and paid their own way thru College.

All those sacrifices over the years for what?

Cry me a river   Same with a small business who makes it while a large corporate competitor sucks of the government tit.  Again - gotta have a grievance and boogieman.

Yet dipshits like to compare it to other wasteful spending in order to justify it
