Reading old crudded up vin # plates

You can try the old paper and a pencil trick or there might be another vin tag on it underneath..Or contact the mfg and see if there is a record of it

Trailer is 25 years old, was operating under the assumption that no records exist. Bibbens(dealer) no longer has them.

Featherlite has been around a long time and as big as they are should keep good records.  Contact them with the information you have and ask if they  have the missing information.

Maine is very proficient with reinspection+ re issueing a new vin # and a new title.

If you have the paper trail, it should be a fast process.

Do skip the muriatic acid... It will eat away an aluminum tag.
