I have moved on to foreign countries. Atac is shit

Been thinking about picking up a bike equiped with the suspension gifted to us by the Ohlins Gods themselves.

I'd hope so.  It is nothing more then a motorized QS3 or QS5 or whatever they are.

I am really wondering if the seat “to hard” is actually from shitty suspension calibrations. My ifp was really jarring to ride and seat was taking the brunt of it when trying to go faster than 35 in bumps. Ian called and said my package of Swedish fish left Sweden today. The rears he has had for a while, just waiting on the fronts now. It will be interesting to compare once it has a real suspension under it.

oh noses... don't attack the seat foam!!!

thanks so much for winding him/her up with your opinion.... o.O

Priced on a Lynx 600 Rave something or another.  $20,160 before taxes and fees, and I'd easily spend another grand making it what I want it to be.

yeah... but no

remember what happened the last time you jokingly mentioned moving someone's shocks off of setting #1

All I know is the catalyst is good building block. I have fixed everything that I bitched about for this sled. I bought the cheap sled because it was the only option vs atac. I have the same money into it now vs buying and rxc because you couldn’t get one. Clutching has been fixed, suspension has been delt with, seat has been fixed, the bag has been fixed, the skis has been fixed the list goes on. But a stock one is fine. I put my money into it. Even the handle bars aren’t stock. Most people won’t do this.

Does riding around the yard at 20 mph count

No he won't.  It's green, the Kool aid has him confused.

You crashed at 15mph your opinion doesn't count.

Talked to a guy today who’s ran his ac5’s through a shock dyno and was actually impressed with what he found on the 5 different adjustments. I’m sure he’ll have the info on Facebook soon

Finally got the hood apart to fix that stupid head light trim. The catalyst hood comes apart a lot faster than a procross hood. Tomorrow I will fix the wiring harness and get it tied back properly. Then get the handle bars installed. I found it is rubbing through on the steering post down by the air box and a few other spots. Beer holder mount turned out good.

That’s awesome. Cat really needs this.

There was a video somewhere that said 3 pounds, I remember because it sounded like a lot when I heard it.  So not sure if that info was right, but somebody has said it.  3 lb sounded like a lot for a spider change.  But really, who gaf, arguing about 3 2 pounds of discrepancy is silly.

I mean, 3lbs on something that spins @8000 rpm is huge. Not to mention this is yet another example of him being blatantly and hilariously wrong while projecting 100% confidence.

That is @ZR6000RR jimwit lying/claiming/acting like he knows what he's talking about, despite not having a clue and being wrong.

Don't you remember when the adapt was released, all the hype over how much lighter it was?

I'm sure it's heavier being it has the steel spider.  If it's for reliability I'd say it's a good move.

Does anyone know if the 600's use the steel spider going forward?  I would have assumed so to make production simpler but then I thought I heard someone say it was only going to be for the 858 at this time.

The harmonic weight on the clutch is different for the 858. It weighs 2.5 pounds with the bolts. The previous one was roughly 1.25 pounds

I’ve seen quite a few comments on the 858 bog issue where people say the new exhaust valve cable routing is to blame. I’ll have to check a few out but it makes sense if you listen to that video you can hear the valves close then an immediate bog when he gets back on it. Be interested in checking some out and see how smooth the cable throw is or isn’t.

I have seen some pictures of it. Basically the cheap mount for the servo bend, makes it bind and not cycle right. The fix is bend the mount so it lines up again. I don’t think the actual cable routing is the issue

Eh its more than that. Im gonna guess it has a whole design next year. The cable mount is too close to the actuator arm. Basically it has a bind on either end of the stroke so you need to set it in the middle. I would assume next year will have a longer cable and further from the arm to the mount to compensate better for the movement.

Yeah I saw that looks like pretty poor design the way it is in there.
