So it’s close to what a new ev battery might be.

$4000-7000 is close to $30,000.   That's your liberal math working for you.

Never put a transmission in any of my vehicles ever. I'm sure I'd replace the battery once and probably twice in an ev.

It's still $10k a pop.

Bohica's battery is probably a little cheaper

Irv both sides do it though. You're part of the bigger problem, you only care about one side.

Bullshit.  There is one side constantly causing an issue and they are also the ones trying to push the mantra that both sides do it.

So Democrats and the FBI did not cover up the "laptop thingy" to help sway the election?

Go have a listen to the recent Joe Rogan and Mark Zuckerburg episode from Aug 25, 2022 and hear it from little Mark yourself. This should be is a nonpartisan issue.

Trumps tax returns should be a non partisan issue too. Both sides are the same shit different pile.

Didn't read the entire thread, but remanufactured packs with matched cells are about $7k. $500 to have it installed. $30,000

Tesla packs are going to 200,000+ miles. Tesla has also switched some their vehicle to LifePo4 batteries. They have lifespans of up to 5,000 charge cycles before output drops to 75%. That's almost 14 years of daily charging. The LifePo4 batteries in my van have a 10 year replacement warranty.

I will say this again. I sold ev that cost as much as a car. The same shit breaks as a gas car and so does the electrical parts. All you are doing is shifting where your money is spent. The reason the auto companies want ev is they will have one drive system across the board. You want faster, more options, they will flash it do that at a higher price.

Because the Volt typically draws its power from a band of energy in the battery pack, there is a lot of leftover juice for stationary use. A new solar array and two wind turbines feed the administration building’s circuit breaker panel, where the five Volt batteries work in parallel to supply power to the building, delivering net-zero energy use on an annual basis.

Even after the battery has reached the end of its useful life in a Chevrolet Volt, up to 80 percent of its storage capacity remains,” said Pablo Valencia, senior manager, Battery Life Cycle Management. “This secondary use application extends its life, while delivering waste reduction and economic benefits on an industrial scale.”

The batteries also can provide back-up power to the building for four hours in the event of an outage and stores it when it’s unneeded. Excess energy is sent back to the grid that supplies the Milford campus.
