I agree masks are dumb and people who wear them are the dumbest of the dumb

The next time you have surgery tell everyone in the operating room to not wear their masks because some moron on the intranet and YOU think they are useless.

Thank you for proving my point you stupid cunt. They wear the mask during medical procedures to keep from infecting an open wound. Not to stop the spread of a virus

They also change masks multiple times during a surgery as the masks get dirty.

Oh I've dated plenty of nurses, lived with one for 17 years, the proper protocol for putting on a mask, removal, and disposal is not something anyone does, especially MC. On a side note, dating a teacher currently, obviously all students are masked up in school. So last year hardly any kids sick with normal stuff, colds, flu, coughs, runny nose, ect,..And she was like I think the masks really helped that, but this year, still all have to wear masks, but over half the kids in kindergarten and first grade are all out in her school, 59 kids this week out sick. Kinda weird.

Only thing different is they were 4 days of school last year, Monday and Tuesday in class, Wednesday was virtual, Thursday and Friday in school. This year it's M-F in school. I know Wednesday last year was a disinfectant day for the janitorial staff. Interesting for sure

Even the Liberal University of Minnesota has backed down on Mask recommendations.

Michael Osterholm, PhD, MPH, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP), who contributed to the paper along with Sundaresan Jayaraman, PhD, of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, said in his weekly CIDRAP podcast yesterday that, because aerosols likely play an important role in coronavirus transmission, cloth masks will do little, if anything, to limit spread of the disease.

Their behavior out of school is different this year by a ton.  Makes it pointless to wear them in school IMO.

Got my teeth cleaned this morning. Everyone in the waiting room was wearing masks except us oldies.

This was the case a year ago every time I went to a cafe or restaurant in the Stevens Point area.  Older people just going about their lives and the 30-40 somethings getting take out wearing a mask in their cars by themselves.  It was fucking hilarious!!

Osterholm has been saying this for MONTHS.

Dr. Osterholm has been saying that about cloth masks since this all began. He still advocates for at least surgical style masks (the blue ones) or n95 in crowded areas. He has been the only person in this whole fucking mess that has been consistent.

How long do they wear that mask?  What are the protocols for putting it on and taking it off? How do those answers relate to a cloth diaper that most people wear?
