Very cool Irv.  I taught the grandkids how to kneeboard this summer.  Looks like you guys are having a blast.

Oh for sure! Poor guy is the one on the island who just put in a 150k bridge

Hahahaha, yea no doubt.  That's a pretty bad ass lake you live on.  I was checking it out on Google Maps.  Lots of very nice, expensive homes on that lake.  And I mean a lot. We're not talking a few dozen bad ass homes we're talking a few hundred.  Wowza.  My god where did all that money come from.

You get outside Detroit there is a lot of very nice areas. The amount of money people make is very high in Detroit (thanks UAW) compared to other areas in this country that aren’t NY, LA or Chicago.

That is the bay of Fundy?  I've heard of it a bunch but never realized where it actually was until now.  Pretty cool.

The fish and chips looks really good.  Or is that scallops and chips.  Hahaha

It's amazing how much water goes in and out with the tides

The average tidal range worldwide is about one metre (3 ft 3 in), in the Bay of Fundy it is about 13 metres (43 ft). Some tides are higher than others, depending on the position of the moon, the sun, and atmospheric conditions.[2] Tides are semidiurnal, meaning they have two highs and two lows each day[2] with about six hours and 13 minutes between each high and low tide.[2]

Because of tidal resonance in the funnel-shaped bay, the tides that flow through the channel are very powerful. In one 12 hours tidal cycle, about 110,000,000,000 short tons (100 billion tonnes) of water flows in and out of the bay, which is twice as much as the combined total flow of all the rivers of the world over the same period.[3] They are as powerful as 8,000 train engines or 25 million horses.[4] The Annapolis Royal Generating Station a 20 MW tidal power station on the Annapolis River upstream of Annapolis Royal is one of the few tidal generating stations in the world, and the only one in North America.[5]

@ckf we’re having an incredible time. Digby isn’t actually in the bay of Fundy it is the Annapolis basin I believe fed from the bay. Tide went out so we went for a sea shell hunt. The big boat is the ferry that goes across the Bay of Fundy to St. John New Brunswick

Cool!  Is this your 1st visit to the coast?  The nice thing about where we lived in NH was being an hour from the NH and Maine coast.

East! My brother lives in the valley. We might take the ferry on the way back

Lmao you’re correct George.

@ckf it really is. Some of the homes in Lunenburg were built in the late 1800’s and have plaques on the house with the date and who it was built for. And they are immaculate!!

Pride of ownership down there. Lots of beautiful homes and very scenic. We're going to Halifax first then spending about a week about an hour from there ( Hubbards) at a cottage then into the valley and playing it by ear from there. It will be the first time we're not in a rush to get back for work

It’s no wonder why they say Peggy’s Cove is the most photographed place in Canada, simply amazing, like travelling back in time.Only 35 people live there year round.
