no major hang up yet, its been slow over all. Seems everyone wants to come on the same day so 1 day or so per week. Its fine, trying to use a lot of people i know.

She's disappointed it wont be done for Christmas but it is what it is.

When you getting yours  :poke:   DJI just came out with the Mavic Air 2 and priced it less than $500.  Lots of tech at that price. Fun as hell to boot  :bc:

I've been working on photographing birds because there isn't much else to photograph during stick season. Plus the cute shots sell well for Xmas gifts on a 5x7 canvas wrap  :thumb:

Black Capped Chickadee

Red-breasted Nuthatch

Canada Jay aka Gray Jay aka Camp Robber aka Whiskey Jack   Next time we will have something to coax them down out of the trees.

I wouldn't consider anything but DJI. The transmission range on this new drone is up to 10 km and it's under $500.  It has better range than my $2000 drone.  It really is a lot of drone for the $$$.  The only thing my drone will do better is allow for larger size prints because it has a larger camera sensor. I might even pick one up to keep with me most of the time. It's tiny. Another bonus is that it is under 250 grams so you don't need to register it with the FAA.

How far are you from the beach?  It would be cool to do a flyover during the summer to see what's happening, lol.

prob 1.5  miles as the crow flies to the Casino from my house so I could fly it from Seabrook to north Hampton from my yard.

You would probably have to be at 300-400 feet above ground level to get the reception, but definitely doo-able. (the last part was a memory of Darryl) I was with Gary when I got the pic of the Gray Jay.  He is probably going to get a Mini 2 after he saw how the drone makes short work out of scouting moose bogs and ponds looking for moose. We did a half dozen locations in the time it would have taken him to do one in his kayak. If he sees one from the air he can throw the kayak in and photograph it with his DSLR.

A buddy of Jeff and I. Jeff and I met Gary through a mutual friend, Darryl. We met on an early season sled trip to Mt Valins. He lived in southern NH until leaving the rat race and retiring to West Charleston in his early 50's.  He is an admin on QuebecRider.com.  Great guy!.

OK, for a minute I thought you were talking about a photographer that goes by the name mooseman. Snaps a lot of work from a kayak.
