What a shitty thing to say.

my opinion on what we do to keep people alive regardless of quality of life is well known.  Not a fan of those places and the quality of life for many of the residents and I hope to never be in one.

Guessing all those on vents are coming off of them and dying...hopefully this is the peak and next week  it trends downward.

Heard of a 90 year old that was hospitalized in Petoskey that recovered and left the hospital which is good to hear.

I talked with a friend who is 75. He referred to the pandemic as "a culling of the herd." Sad but true.

The shit is getting real, wife is hinting I might have to take a stab at dying her roots.

Fuck me.

Local by-law officer charged a kid $750 for playing basketball on a closed court.

Many of the townships are refusing to turn on water supply to seasonal residents until pandemic crisis is over.

That one really bothers me. I'm not a cottager but damn it, people have investment in their properties and pay the local taxes year round for those places. They should have every right to go to them if they choose.

My daughter gives me a buzz cut every summer. She uses the dog clippers. They are the same thing.

It's a fucked up situation in cottage country! They don't have a handle on containment of the virus and it's spreading daily. With more people coming up here to their cottages, stopping for gas/food etc it'll be hard to contain. There's people in Bobcageon which is one of the worst hit areas going to other towns to shop etc and it's gonna get worse. There's 32 dead just from the nursing home alone

I'm a big believer in property rights. As long as they follow the rules and self quarantine they should be able to use their own property to keep their families safe.

I’ve also noticed an increased police presence in the neighborhood. This is a fine line they’re walking.

They are encouraging people to use the bike paths and open areas by us. They don’t want group sports played and big groups hanging out. The wife and daughter have been walking to multiple parks everyday.

I understand the problems being created but I still have an issue with people being restricted from something they own and pay for. If you pay your taxes then you are a resident whether seasonal or not.

The nursing home in Bobcageon is a worst case scenario playing out. The virus was in there early before any restrictions were in place and a big chunk of the residents lived 4 to a room with only curtain dividers and they didn't separate them until last week. Its a terrible tragedy.
