Let's be optimistic

Think about this; what is the big deal if the country besides the essential services have to stay home for a 2-4 weeks? The Europeans basically take off 4 weeks of work between the month's of July and August and their world doesn't come crashing down.

Spend some time with your family and take care of all that bullshit that's been on the honeydo list, watch the trees bud out and the spring flowers popping through the earth, listen to the baby birds makin a fuss when mama comes back to the nest with lunch, connect with old friends via the telephone and see how the heck there doing, it's a time to chill out and relax before it gets back to the rat race which will happen sooner than you know it.

Add anything else that you will do with your free time while home at the ranch.

Absolutely agree with this. The only difference I see is the fact that many in the U.S. are ill prepared financially to take off of work for such a long time. Europeans have had time to plan. Either way it doesn't matter. I agree it NEEDS to happen.

I think it's more people thinking how they are going to pay their bills as I'm sure those will still be showing up in the mail box..Some people are not as well to to than others financially..So being out of work for a month really is a big deal to some.

I was thinking the same. Hopefully the moves they made to put off mortgages and loans will help those on the lower end of the scale.

Because a large majority of Americans live check to check. They are already broke

And 99% of US companies are so severely leveraged that 1 missed week of earnings has them facing bankruptcy

been that way forever so it's ingrained in the business culture. Whole different kettle of fish to expect small business to go 5 weeks without any income and expect there not to be major economic implications, both from businesses and employees.

Also Europe has social programs ensuring people have income during those long vacations. In the US we are expected to work 50-60hrs a week or more and after 2 years you might get 2 weeks paid vacation

I am still shaking my head over the fact that all of these neocons have been saying the opposite while condemning socialism and comparing it to communism and hangings in the park. Then all of these corps reveal that they are irresponsibly leveraged and indebted and the only thing that can save them is socialism. I mean wtf?

You won’t hear much discussion of that

I literally read some faggot ass retard Trumper saying that massive disaster relief as he called it has nothing to do with socialism

I have gotten email from both of my banks saying if you have a loan and you can't pay you have a 90 day reprieve.  I was sort of upset I just paid off a revolving  line of credit from my biz account lol .

Bingo.  This virus quickly took a back seat once business were forced to close.  Now, people are concerned way beyond an overblown scary cough.

This will hurt many....well after this whole “Pandemic” subsides.

Just dumb as fuck. If they throw money at these corps and allow business as usual we won't survive the next one in 10 years. If it takes that long.

We got similar from our banks and the Power company too..I don't have any loans so it didn't apply to us but I imagine that will help many to not worry about their loans for now.
