My only concern is bringing this home to wife......very high risk category for her.

We have basically shut down as of 9p.m. last night. But lots of places will remain open. Food stores, liquor stores, Home centers.    If you are on the road. You must be heading to one of those places. Otherwise have to stay home.

Guess my cruising around with a roadie and listening to Tunes will be put on hold for a while.

Hopefully summer will be back to some normalcy :dunno:

been that way forever so it's ingrained in the business culture. Whole different kettle of fish to expect small business to go 5 weeks without any income and expect there not to be major economic implications, both from businesses and employees.

People are resilant and have been since antiquity,  a small business is a company with fewer than 250 employees which qualifies my company as small. This virus has and will have an impact on my company, but I'm confident that we will get through it.

My main concern at this point is that all my employees and there families stay healthy, as long as you're healthy you can overcome anything.

My process is going to be completely disrobe in the entryway, leave clothes in entry overnight, and shower. Next day bring in the prior day uniform in and wash it.

Repeat until it's over.

The wife and I have been all over the state of Maine this week. We went over to Grafton Notch on the western side of the state to see the mountains. We have taken 2 trips north, to drop off things to my parents. Yesterday we took off and went to Harpswell, Bailey Island and Orrs Island. Took a road trip to Mt Desert Island and took in Acadia National Park.

Pay with a card for everything. Anything that comes in the car gets wiped with an anti bacterial/antivirus. Brought our own food.

Enjoy the time if you have it. Staying locked up will drive anyone crazy. If you have the chance to get out and social distance while doing it... do it.

Bro and I have to do a retrieval mission up to Jackman at some point.  One tank of gas gets us to town and one tank will get us home, pack a lunch and just stop for piss breaks.  Grafton Notch is beautiful, eh?!

Discovered it 2 years ago, kinda by accident, had a business getaway in Mt. Washington, and were just exploring the area.  Hiked the Flume which was pretty nice too.

Yeah, we got told that on Friday that we're one of "13 critical infrastructure industries".  :flush:

oh ffs.....can you just give it a fucking rest?

Yup.  What will be hard to quantify is the economic impact of all this.  We won't know for at least a year.

You just can't admit it. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.

Deny it?  Christ its like the 4th word out of your mouth every other sentence.  Not like the biggest pandemic in our lifetimes coming out of nowhere is something anyone plans for.   How do you categorize your ideology, and what makes you so special....I mean you love to toss out the labels and all....

I categorize my ideology as math and facts. I manage businesses I'm pretty good at recognizing -$0.00's. And I know how to play the debt #'s game and I know how it ends. I have been involved in all of these scenarios with some of my former employers.

I think it's more people thinking how they are going to pay their bills as I'm sure those will still be showing up in the mail box..Some people are not as well to to than others financially..So being out of work for a month really is a big deal to some.

We have unemployment insurance in this country, and the govt. has said they will help those that need it.

Also Europe has social programs ensuring people have income during those long vacations. In the US we are expected to work 50-60hrs a week or more and after 2 years you might get 2 weeks paid vacation

Collect unemployemnt insurance, I come from an industry that is always the first to get hit by a recession and the last to come out of a recession, and I've been at it since 78, that's five recessions including the Great Recession.

I have gotten email from both of my banks saying if you have a loan and you can't pay you have a 90 day reprieve.  I was sort of upset I just paid off a revolving  line of credit from my biz account lol .

There are a lot of reprieves going on.

That was a non answer.  Your comment had zero basis and had no point other than to just say it like you have 1000 other times.  Next we'll be blaming the Joos.    :bc:

Well some of us called the market over leveraged a while ago and when you have a bubble and there is a disruption... Now it's playing out just like we said. It's not like we haven't seen this before. Maybe people will learn something this time. I won't hold my breath

Alot of socialism going in that none of these "conservatives" are complaining about.

Unemployment isn't 100% pay and takes a good amount of time to get it. Think of a waitress or waiter who gets cash tips, think outside the box, not about the lady who is laid off from Macy's..

Save it.  No one, you included, could have predicted a pandemic.  I don't have the time, space or interest in explaining that you're not a financial analyst and don't know what you're talking about when it comes to the markets.

The pandemic is the disruption you dope. The whole world is coming unglued after 2 weeks. Maybe you'll learn something about ledgers and debt this time.

Killed by the partisans who make this a party thing.

Yeah, I posted about the masks and Obama, but that was because I read just that... the stockpile was never replenished.

As I said in another thread, the levels of stored necessities need to be brought to acceptable levels for the future.
