If you have your clickers past half way and you're not hitting large jumps you're either fat as fuck, you have no concept of throttle control and body input, or you just have your suspension set up way harder than necessary to make yourself feel cool. Like I said, I'm 250lbs and I ride hard. The XRS is valved plenty stiff and you're not gonna blow out pro-40's on any trail.

Honestly, from how you just described you shock settings, you'd have been money ahead not paying extra for the XRS package. Your trails must be smooth as butter. Your trails must be smooth as butter. I do a lot of riding with my family, so my base settings take into account the fact that I can't go as hard as I'd like to while riding with a bunch of sixty-somethings. When I'm not holding back for the old folks fronts are 8 out of 22, center shock goes up to 11, and the rear is at 8. The center will bottom occasionally over real big stuff, I could probably use a few more clicks of compression then, but that's a price I'm willing to pay in order to get the full use of the suspension when the trails aren't totally clapped out. The fronts just eat up anything you can throw at them, maybe it's my riding style, but I can fly through the roughest shit and they just don't bottom. As for the rear arm there's just not that much weight back there on the G4 chassis, by the time it's hitting the bump the front arm has already absorbed the brunt of the hit. They key issue with Ski-Doo's X package, at least for me, is that the center shock is not adjustable and it comes valved WAY too soft. It bottoms regularly even at casual speeds. Also, the XRS fell into my lap. We have a very good relationship with our dealer, someone bailed on their spring order and they were willing to deal on it. I'm just saying, the vast majority of riders don't need these shocks. An X package with a center revalve will do wonders for many. Fact is, most people hate the way their "Race Replica" rides because they don't know what they are doing with the shocks...and really have no interest in learning.

I only got it cause it was the same price as a regular pro s from a different dealer left over so it made more sense resale and it looks nicer with painted tunnel vs non

He rides Old Forge, it's where all the "Benny's" from Jersey and PA go to ride,..you have to buy a special pass to ride there and they have 24hr paid grooming going on..It's for the folks that want to go "Ski Doo'n" as we like to say.. Beautiful area, spectacular trails if you want flat and smooth.. But WB does go off the path and rides a little less touristy trails too

You should see all the schmucks on Dootalk asking how to lower the front end to the height of an X because their XRS is "tippy" Shit, I put USI X2's on it and it still corners plenty flat. We head out that way sometimes, got turned around on our way home from the Oxbow last season and ended up crashing in a bedroom in some guys heated barn/garage. We knocked on the door to ask directions and it turned out the guy who owned the place used to run the dump we use back in Jersey. Instead of giving us direction he just said, "You're no making it back to Old Forge tonight in this weather, come in and make yourself comfortable."
