Support for Trump impeachment rises as 59% say he pursued personal interests in Ukraine, poll finds

Source: USA Today

WASHINGTON – Support for the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump's dealings in Ukraine continue to grow, as does support for his removal from office, a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found.

A 55% majority of registered voters said they approved of the inquiry, while 43% said they disapproved. A week ago, 51% of voters said they approved and 45% disapproved. Quinnipiac has found support for the inquiry to be in the low-50% range since it was announced at the end of September

The poll found that slightly less than half of Americans support impeaching Trump and removing him from office, though support for such a move has been rising since the inquiry began.

Currently, 48% support Trump's removal. That is two percentage points higher than last week and 11 points higher than on Sept. 25.

... snip ...

Among independents polled, 58% support the inquiry and 37% oppose it. And 49% of independents favor removing Trump from office, while 41% oppose it.

Only 59% ???????   Do 41%   believe Trump is telling the Truth when he claims he did nothing wrong?  Even after he released the transcript?

What percentage of Mercans are flat Earthers?  What percentage believe in UFO's?  What percentage think climate change is a hoax?   Are they the same 41%? Trying to find some kind of correlation.

When Obama was at this point in his presidency he had raised a record amount of money for an incumbents re-election bid 150 million dollars. Trump has raised 300 million to this date with a much larger percentage coming from small donors. I would not put any weight in any polls that show a majority against Trump when clearly the money suggest otherwise.

Yet in the all important battleground states a large majority do not support impeachment.   Oops.   A NY times poll none the less.

The same voters oppose impeaching Mr. Trump and removing him from office, 53 percent to 43 percent.

That's not a tag back.  That accusations against Trump are true.

The accusations against the Clintons were fake news.

The majority now see trumps criminality. What took so long?

Not the majority here.  They still believe him when he says it's a witch hunt.   Are they that stupid or is it the same as when they voted for Bush and wouldn't admit they were wrong?

Far less than Americans.  You can see that from our election results.  A far higher percentage of voters chose responsible parties instead of the dishonesty of the right wing.

92% of the students from my kids HS went on to college last year. As usual - you have no clue what you’re talking about.
