small-bore
Yes I wear a watch. I buy cheap ones through. I keep breaking them so it's not worth buying an expensive one.
Edmo
I hate watches and jewelery. But I worked around electricity for years and saw guys get burned. That kind of thing stays with you. I don't even wear a wedding band.
Dieselgeek
I started wearing a Fitbit last week. Great at keeping time, sucks at counting steps. Adds 4-5k steps a day when I drive a semi truck. Hell today it added 600 steps mowing the lawn.

Been thinking about a Fitbit though. ^^^^ This! The wife and I used to have a matching set of watches she picked out and I'd wear it when she dragged me out to all the fancy clubs she liked to dance at. Other then that it sat on the dresser. 11 hours ago, XCR1250 said: I did 9.21 miles today, that's nuts seeing it's hard to even walk with Lymes. I've got that crap too but not so bad. With that, occipital nueralgia, and a bad back I'm almost starting to regret all the crazy shit I did when I was younger...almost. lol

DriftBusta
I have a nice Tag I wear to work, and a half dozen other watches, but hardly wear them outside of work. Ex bro in law gave me a Porsche diving watch thats pretty nice too. Why bother wear a watch when I carry around an Iphone, which does pretty much everything except make toast. A lot of the doom and gloom predictions got to me. I never thought I'd be around past 30. So I lived accordingly. You get older and smarter and don't pay attention to the BS narratives pedaled by fools and the media.

I remember me and some friends sitting around when we were like 12 or 13 talking about our "future". I said I wanted a nice little house on a big piece of land with a pool in the backyard and a nice vette in the garage...and die at age 40....cuz that's long enough, I didn't want to get old. It's kinda funny (or sad) but feeling the pain I'm in now from all my "Tom Fuckery" over the years, I'm kinda wondering if I'll make 60...or want to. 'Course, I'm not taking any meds for anything yet, I think that will help. I'm giving myself about 5 years before I'm on pain killers. Well, didn't this turn out to be a fucking depressing thread! Jesus.

There's still a lot of living to be done past 70. I know people in their 70's that put the energizer bunny to shame. My wife knows a woman who was neighbours with her grandfather in Saskatoon. She was telling my wife how her brother finally sold the farm property and moved into town because he felt he was now too old to live that far out. He was 104 when he moved.
