Haley and DeSantis didn’t run one negative ad against Trump or even slightly mention him in the debates. Haley rip toes around him. he barely got 50% of the vote. Iowans wanted another candidate besides Trump and remember 39% of registered voters in Iowa are independents. Trumps polling very well nationally with independents against Biden. More than any issue independents are economy voters. 1 1 Quote

Mainecat Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Trump should have got 75% of the vote in Iowa. He failed and should be concerned. Half the republicans looked away from Trump. 1 Quote

Matt Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Trump won't win the GE. A near plurality of voters in Iowa voted for someone else. Vivek's endorsement will swing Trump maybe 50% of Vivek's base. If 45% of primary voters don't want Trump, and even 5% of that 45% don't "come home" in the GE, Biden walks away with it, easily. 1 1 Quote

Even in right leaning counties in 20 he couldn't get the percentages needed to override the urban/suburban counties in key states. He's never been the popular guy he likes to pretend he is and he's turned off a lot of the right leaning center. only reason he will get some of them is the alternative is a dead man walking. 3 1 Quote

Throw in some corruption and it is tough to see how he comes out a winner. Quote

Neither spent a dime on anti Trump ads or dissed him and ex president trump still didn’t pull half the Republican delegates in a Republican caucus. That’s not good for Trump. Biden will be the next president. Edited January 16 by Mainecat Quote
