I'd guess he launched, was well out in front and braked so he would not get ran down. I'm not nearly ready to go that route yet...I know someone who got rid of their Tesla and went back to ICE vehicle after they had to buy a new battery. I think some of the cost was covered under warranty but still very pricey.....They won't be going back. These cars still have a long ways to go with battery technology and cost IMO.
