We're a week past peak but the red oaks and birch trees are still looking good.

Looks good. About all we have are left for leaves are the poplars, birch, oaks, and beech trees . Mostly browns and some yellows.

We were up in Traverse City last weekend for my BILs wedding. I usually look forward to getting a good color tour of Northern Michigan in but see this just a month or so ago, wrecked me. Give me this for three seasons and winter in Colorado. I’ll never come back to Michigan.

Amazing pics 👍

Is that black bear pass?

North rim of the Grand Canyon in the top pic.

Shafer’s Trail as viewed from the lookout point above it, in Canyonlands National Park, in the second picture. Wife and I drove up that trail in our rental Jeep Rubicon. 1500 ft vertical climb. If you look closely, that’s a Dodge Ram pickup coming up it in the picture. He’s about half way up. Trail is just barely wide enough for one vehicle at most points. No guardrails or anything else to save you.

This picture was taken along road through Shafer’s Canyon. About half way between the Potash plant and Shafer’s Trail, at one of the many primitive campgrounds that are scattered throughout the park. Unbelievable country out there. Something tells me that the wife and I will be residents out there within about 10 years or so.
