Blowing belts usually changes offset. If you’re not on point on that stub shaft and alignment, you better buy lots of belts. Bang.  Bang.  Especially running big tunes with enlarged intercooler, big pump, headers. Guessing Tomcat knows this already.  It’s not flashing news.  Old news actually.  Amazing how far off the “book “ was on the 17’s. For offset numbers.

back to the year o ft the helix !!  2024 cats

It was only yami's offset that was off in 17 from what I saw.

but you're right the moving stub is old news.

Well guys would come on and say I blew a belt and it keeps getting worse. The t cats were good?  Could be I stepped away from cat for a few years kinda.  2015 -2021.  But I actually like the adapts alot.  The wife has always been on one.  And she says it better be green!!

back on topic, sorta..

the 858 takes the same final drive belt as the 600

The clutch drive belt is the same pn they accidentally released in 2 years ago. MSRP $199.95

Hopefully the helixes aren't the same, because we know what that means!

That might be okay actually!!   No shit. The 858 will pull that helix easy. :whiteflag:

you bother to do anything on the ones that have had the bearing/stub shaft walk into the engine throwing the offset out of whack?

Depends how bad. Most of them just need the secondary adjusted a bit to correct offset.

The truth is, it is perfect. You bought the wrong sled if you want to go faster than 25mph

I got glue. We can stick that game boy screen to anything on the sled. I am thinking the handle bar pad

With my 17 Cat 998, it would blow at 2k miles like clockwork with OEM belts (I felt this was totally acceptable given the power level). Started using Ultimax with even better success, even with a tune.

I gotta say, overall that sled is easily the most powerful yet most reliable sled I've ever owned. It just works. Granted, I have done some PM items like different top gear, brass shift fork pads, etc.

the proper length ultimax belt is good for 147mph

if you trim the keel of the left ski down 3/16" there's another 0.7mph
