Zambroski
2 minutes ago, Plissken said: You think you still have small pox antibodies floating around in your system always ready for a fight. Edward Jenner, the English physician who first developed the smallpox vaccine in 1796, believed that vaccination caused a fundamental change in personal constitution and would lead to lifelong immunity to smallpox. Unfortunately, this proved to be incorrect. It is now clear that immunity wanes over time. Exactly how long the vaccine confers protection, however, is difficult to assess. Immunity to smallpox is believed to rest on the development of neutralizing antibodies, levels of which decline five to 10 years after vaccination. This has never been satisfactorily determined, though. And because smallpox has been eradicated in the wild, correlating antibody levels with susceptibility is not possible. Revisiting historical data is difficult because of incomplete information in a number of areas. These include how many times the subjects were vaccinated (revaccination produces longer-lasting immunity), whether the vaccinations were carried out successfully and whether or not subjects ever had a subclinical smallpox infection that would boost their immunity (this situation is particularly likely in endemic areas). The last natural smallpox infection occurred in 1977, so recent advances in immunology and medical testing cannot be brought to bear on this question. Before smallpox was eradicated, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended that international travelers to nonendemic countries should be revaccinated every five to 10 years and travelers to endemic countries should be revaccinated every three years. Lab workers in diagnostic facilities and others more likely to be exposed to the smallpox virus were advised to be vaccinated once a year. The basis for the WHO guidelines was that a history of vaccination within five years was known to offer good protection, whereas the data for vaccination beyond 10 years was difficult to interpret. A conservative estimate of the duration of smallpox immunity was therefore justified. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/i-was-vaccinated-against/ LOL! What the fuck? We’re done here. Go pat yourself on the back for getting a shot.

My question to all the anti vaxers is when you see your child next to death and realizing you were either directly or indirectly responsible for it, how will you feel for the rest of your life. No excuse in the world will mitigate what you did to your own son or daughter. anyone who gives a child the vax IMO is playing with their lives just as much as the covid. with zero knowledge of side effects and a rushed sort of approval process with next to no testing I would not have given it to my kids. i don't need my daughter to have a kid with an arm growing out of their forehead. I am just glad they were old enough to make their own decision

It wasn't a problem for him then, he already beat it's ass so why would he give a fuck about it now? Because of some boogeyman Greek alphabet names they give it? Oh and he's safer with his antibodies than if he were to get the shot, but we aren't supposed to talk science on this issue. Its the cocksuredness of some of these Karenesque people, who arent infectious disease experts that is so annoying. And given that there is not consensus among the infectious disease experts, the Karens might consider letting others form their own opinions over things. I took the vaccine, fine. I still dont see the need /correlation for a healthy child to take it.
Bontz
My two kids got the shot - by their own choice. One of them is an adult, so I really couldn't tell her otherwise. The other one's a teenager, and I encouraged her to NOT get it ... but she did because she doesn't want to deal with all the bullshit around school and sports. I just really hope there's no long term side effects that either of them encounter - that's my biggest fear at this point. Both of them are very healthy kids, and were around both my wife & I when we had the Rona last year & neither of them caught it. I'm not anti-vax (I have all kinds of vaccinations in me) ... but this SHOT still has a lot of questions surrounding it. If I hadn't dealt with the Rona, I probably would have gotten the stupid thing too - but I'm not taking it since I'm better off than most of the people out there who took the jab and never had the Rona.

Yeah. If you’re in an at risk category then taking the vaccine may be the right choice. But for many it’s simply not. And it’s not going to end. They’re starting to talk about a 3rd shot here, and Israel is even talking about a 4th. It won’t end. if you had it you’re simply good to go. In fact most people are good even if they didn’t have it if they’re healthy and not obese As long as the fear cult keeps acting like cases need to be down to zero it’s never going to end because this is endemic now. Vaccines can’t stop this type of virus
