Not sure Momo. They overhaul their own engines. The 747-400 uses cf6-80s. AC buys used cfm56 engines for the A320s for 4-5 million. So I'm guessing the used cf6-80 is 6-10 million.

40 million just in engines  what's the aircraft worth :guzzle:

I haven't bought a new 747-400 in years but our new B787 are around 240US million apiece if I remember right. And only two engines.

Wikipepia says B747 cost is,

Unit cost
747-100: US$24 million (1967)
747-200: US$39 million (1976)
747-300: US$83 million (1982)
747-400: US$228–260 million (2007)
747-8I: US$351.4 million[5]
747-8F: US$352 million

I have been to Jamaica and what not but hell they could just park the ship out a few miles and i would be happy without going anywhere.

You will be amazed at breakfast from all the choices.

If they do a tour of the ship-do it!
