How do I know that an atomic bomb works by splitting an atom?

Can you provide any science textbook or school curriculum that states that the big bang created the universe?

I contend you are absolutely incorrect and that you can't provide either of the aforementioned items to show the big bang as a creation path.

The same people who think the earth is flat , or 6000 years old or that we cant see lightyears into space or that a big bang never happened etc etc.

They think that because they celebrate the rejection of science and glorify ignorance.

You've jumped in their wagon it seems

you obviously haven't listened to or read a word I've said.

Fundamentalists are abject retards. I've never waivered from that position. Thankfully they are the minority in the Christian faith outside of America.

You can believe in a higher power without taking the bible literally. Talk about jumping in wagons.

You are babbling away assigning positions to scientific theories which have never been pushed. You're jumping the shark and Neal is bludgeoning you.

Take a break

I don't know of many christians who take the bible literally.  Born agains and evangelicals though.

Science can provide evidence for earth being an oblate spheroid.

Reasonable certainty, but solipsism comes into play with "certain".

What about youtube?

Sure I engage in the actions and mental states (can be shown via brain scan) that we use to define love.

Neal

Really....can it be measured?

So kind of a lukewarm faith, or a buffet of religion, picking only bits you like...

Can you?  Or is it yet again more bluster from you with no evidence to support the claim?

Kinda like a god...

Neal

there is no bluster. I know what the theory is. But how it is spoken about while discussed in the media, or how it is presented when taught in school it is presented as absolute fact (with regards to how our universe was created) when it is not.

Difference is I know the existence of a higher power can never be proven.

You have proved here multiple times you don't.

Can you provide a discussion from the media, or any school curriculum that presents the big bang theory as a origin path?  Any at all?

Because I think you are 100% full of shit wrong.

so to clarify your position is that the Big Bang isn't referred to as the phenomena that created the universe when discussed in print or video?

I mean I cant see an atom , am I supposed to just believe that massive energy can be released from something microscopic?

How am I supposed to know who to believe?

Scientists tell me why 100 megatons of energy can be released from something the size of a coffee can....

But religious people tell me that's the power of god exploding from the warhead?

Or are the videos just fake and atomic energy is a make believe story like the round earth or galaxies and stars???

I'm so confused , I don't know who to trust anymore?????

Great post

just trying to figure out what he's asking for.

If lug flick has taught us anything it's that he can never be wrong even when proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Reality is we do not know the size of this universe, if its the only one, what caused it or if there is a higher power.   We don't know what we don't know.   Part of so called science is as known as whether or not their is a God.

I mean we can find alot about earth itself by the minerals miles below us.  All we know of a higher power is books written by men.

Absolutely.   There is no proof to many that God exists but I've yet to see anything that proves without a shadow of a doubt he/she/it doesn't exist.

Is it not strange that thru the millions of years of evolution only human's have evolved into the level of intelligence and sophistication?

Is it not possible that the similarities in species (internal organs for example) might indicate intelligent design in some way?   I'm not saying creationism but it does make one think.
