A few buddies and myself got booted from the clubhouse because we are supposedly too obnoxious. Just chilling tomorrow, “Friendsgiving” party in the evening. Still can’t rake because of snow on the ground so I think today I’ll get all the sleds ready for the season and out of the trailer. I know the Sabercat needs a stator. Its brand new so its still very nice and clean. The marina is very nice. Went to see Ford v Ferrari last night. It was pretty good. Not great but still good. Today/tomorrow is the Sand, Surf and RV expo here in Havasu. 150 vendors. irv Posted November 16, 2019 Share Posted November 16, 2019 (edited) Finally got at my Vector yesterday afternoon. I replaced the 2 inner bearings on the idlers and checked the rest. Those 2 always, for some reason, wear out quick? I decided, rather than adding more grease to them like I normally do, I just put them in new right from the box. Hoping to do a bit more to it today. Mainly clean it up and replace a rivet on my snow flap. Once those things are done, I think it will be pretty much ready for the season? Going to try one more year on my slides. They are looking thin near the back but I don't think they have wore any in the last couple years? Was thinking Dupont slides, and may yet once I measure mine, but I think mine will be good? Hopefully the permit will be going on today and I have order up 2 license stickers which I can do on line. Sled show tomorrow, maybe? A bud of mine has to work and another is away on vacation. I got the exhaust and carbs off and the front shocks and skid ripping out of one sled, threw the skid and shocks back in another and am waiting for the crank to get back. Maybe get boozed up and do some clutching. It is always a good idea to work on your clutches at .08 and above. Edit, got the gas tanks and seats off the two of them too. I bought a 2005 kawi klr 650 like that this summer. The story goes buddy bought it, put 1000 kms on it then had a kid. It sat for 3 years and apparently only rode it twice around home in the first 2. When I bought it, it had not been started in over a year. Ran like crap so I got a wicked deal. Only had 16,000 kms on it and bought it for $2,200. Carb needed some attention and ran mint. Well I am usually just lazy lol. I don't have a very big/nice place to work so I just make due. I also not a huge fan of working by myself. Gets lonely and the job is less fun.
