I did 138 on a Kawasaki zl 900 in Illinois. That bike was not nearly as aerodynamic as the cafe bikes.

135 in an Eagle Talon TSI with 5 people in the car, a couple bottles of nitrous, weed, mescaline and a ton of "other paraphernalia" rushing to get back to MSU because they had just beat UofM

Damn I would have almost made the top ten on that list.  Speedo was pegged at 145 when I saw the cop and hit the brakes, and he still got me at 110   I recommend none of you ever get one of those tickets. :bc:

I did 160 in my buddies M5 several years ago. That car had some nuts.

i've been 150's in a car (moms 87 vette),  low 100's on my bike.

Ive been in the 160s on my jap bikes back in the day...but nothing comes close to the feel of speed like flying across a lake or a railway bed on a sled.

i've got no real desire to go much faster on a motorcycle and while i like the quick blast to a hundy on the sled i don't need to ride at that speeds for too long either.

I had a 85 900 Eliminator as well.   Fucking thing was awesome!   Sold it because I was absolutely sure it would put me in a coffin and I had a wife and young kids.

Still one of the best looking Jap cruisers of its day.  Purchased it for $2000 in like 99 and sold it a few years later for $3500.   Guy came all the way from Denver, CO to buy it for his wife.  Had less than 7500 miles on it.

More than 50kms (30mph) over the posted limit is considered street racing in Ontario automatic road side vehicle and licence seizure. :guzzle: I went to court for 80 km over back before the new law.

Thats the one I had and I sold it after we buried 2 of my buddies that crashed. I had some work done to mine, it was a 10 second bike. I remember the first time i saw one i had to have it. I actually have an 86 up in the rafters here in pieces. I was going to build it but by the time I track down all of the parts for a 30 year old bike i can just buy 2 or 3 used ones.
