We got 2" of lake effect snow a couple of nights ago. We are a long way from the great lakes, but we occasionally squeeze a little out of it. Lightly snowing here now. The forecast is calling for 1-3 inches overnight. We don't usually get many big storms here. We just seem to pick up an inch or two at a time due to the up slope effect. The higher the elevation the more snow you get.
