That's what $15/hr will get you.

Yup.  They are becoming quite popular even in chain sitdown restaurants/airports.  You can order anything without ever talking to anyone.

Wtf are those things?  Is it like walking through the drive through or some shit?

Self serve kiosk... you touch the screen making your menu selections, pay using credit or debit and they give you a receipt with an order number boldly printed. The monitor over the counter shows you the status of your order, being prepped and being served. Here they call out now serving # x. In the picture it looks like there are large numbers on the side of the kiosk that you would take to your table and they bring it to you perhaps.

All this may sound and look great but, what about the machine's right to unionize?  How about a fair wage allowing them to raise a family and  drive a new car every other year?  What about their paid sick days?  What about a bad-ass bennie package and a sweet 401k plan?  Profit sharing?  Just because these are ENTRY LEVEL machine jobs, it doesn't give anybody the right to pay them as such.

I think we need to start worrying about the rights of these machines before those mean, nasty capitalists start to take advantage of them.

PROTEST!!!!!

nonsense. foxconn went from a workforce of 110,000 to 50,000 last year because of the quick advancement of robots in industry. production of apple and samsung stuff will be 90% automated by 2027. the people replaced make about $2/hr.

Is $15/hr slowing the pace of automation?  Does it have any effect at all?
