there is a manslaughter charge and IMO thats the one spot they may convict.  It's clear the guy went beyond the bounds of what he should but no cut an dry conviction coming.

In the end It comes down to a series of bad decisions that resulted in death. I dont think you can prove intent so then it comes down to being overzealous and that can get the manslaughter charge, but out right murder is highly unlikely IMO.

that clip was brief.  Was that the location of his knee the entire time?

I think he gets acquitted on some, but not all charges and does time.  Jurors probably fear for their lives on this one...

If it's like when I was on Jury duty, jurors are unknown to the Public.

Going to burn the US down again if they get no conviction

Yep. He's not getting off. He'll get convicted and at best get released on appeal. They aren't going to light that powder keg.

supposed to be, but in a case like this, I doubt their anonymity remains protected.

Floyd can also be heard saying "I swallowed to many drugs!"

Being a willfully ignorant fucking moron isn't illegal.  It can be argued it should be though.

Wonder if it’ll result in a hung jury

The only people who would agree to be on that jury already had their minds made up that he was guilty.   Think of the doxing or worse a juror would be faced with if they found him not guilty and their name leaked out.

That’s the guy that more technically guilty

Agreed to some extent but unless the drugs were spiked (hot) or he informed them of being weaker than they were then the drug user bears much of the responsibility for their own actions.

Like fentanyl makes any difference if it's hot or cold...

All depends on the strength.   Hot would mean normally accepted amount causes od.   Not sure what that means with it because its so deadly.

Friends son and his girlfriend are currently in jail waiting trial for someone they sold drugs too dying.  Looking at up to 20 year i believe.    Anyone who testifies that they sold drugs without immunity is a fool.

Exactly.  People have died from a dusting of fentanyl.  There is no 'safe' level.

Yet the vast, vast majority of it comes from China thru Mexico but nothing to see there.

Yes but generally when something is wrong with the drug....not just for someone overdosing.   We would be seeing 50,000 more murder/attempted murder charges a year.   Not saying it doesn't happen at all but not enough.  Think Florida leads the way doing this.
