I have gotten take out several times from my favs the last few weeks. They are hurting but not devastated...... yet. Im more concerned about my little mah and pah breakfast deli....they remained open the first 2 weeks but closed April 1st til this is over. They make the best pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches. We have two jobsites where the GC's are taking everyone's temp before they enter the site, as recently as a week and half ago we saw some stupid shit with a lot of other trades wearing no masks, and even four guys eating lunch in a car......wtf We've been on the GC's to keep the porta potties full of hand sanitizer, one of the jobs where the GC is taking temps they have a wash station outside the porta potties. The company who does all my concrete work has decided to sit. He says concrete work is Non-Essential. I've had to hire someone else to come in and finish 2 jobs. A few restaurants and bars around here have announced they are closed for good. The buffet places don't stand much of a chance of making it through this. Many small shop will not make it. Take out isn't enough but they are trying. As others have mentioned, Ontario is allowing take out beer and mixed drinks but I don't know how many people are doing that. Some of the restaurants that closed initially have rewrote their menus and reopened for take out. One higher end restaurant is offering a "package meal" where they make the salad and vegetable, then they supply the potato and meat which you cook your self.
