The facts are easy.  Take a look at the chart I linked and look at the dips.  Jean did not experience any, but Harper did so that is why we went into a deficit.  JT is not experiencing any dips and yet he feels he needs to spend.  Money For Nothing.

didn't you just say Canada is not doing well?  now its we don't need to spend money.  make up your mind

Give it a rest Fail... NICE DEFLECTION WHICH IS YOUR SPECIALTY. I ASK YOU TO SHOW EVIDENCE OF YOUR CLAIM WHERE FORD WAS GOING TO SHUT DOWN IN CANADA AND YOU COME BACK WITH THIS :bullshit:   Then even your :bullshit: deflection is JUST PLAIN STUPID. You selectively choose to ignore the global economic melt down that impacted virtually every industrialized economy on the planet and the fact that Canada came through it much stronger than virtually every other economy.

:nuts2:

The point that you can't grasp is that your bromance with Trudope blinds you to the fact he is spending lots of money without any plan without any anticipated ROI and so far after throwing around $B's nothing of benefit to show for Canadians.

So you're ready to admit you're the expert at deflection and resort to deflection every time someone proves your alleged facts are figments of your over active imagination.

who said he wasn't spending money?  if we judge soley on money then JC was the best PM in history, BM was the worst and SH the second worst. do you agree?

:clueless: you should have yourself tested. That pot has really screwed with your mental faculties. I said he was spending too much money with no benefit. If you spend money you should see a benefit to spending that money. Trudope is spending but no tangible benefit to Canadians and no plan or concept on whether what he spends will help Canadians or not.

We aren't spending money, we are wasting it.  What is in the budget that is going to encourage investment?

Someone said it best, Americans will buy American unless they can get something cheaper.  Pretty sure that is your motto.  Like I said, Trump made the pitch, but he can't carry the team.  Want to wager who's growth will be higher?

I was discussing jobs in Canada with a liberal associate and how I would never buy a mexican vehicle. He was telling me how having mexico get our jobs is a benefit to us. This is how brainwashed some people are that voted liberal. Pot smoker so I am pretty sure he was a single issue voter that will ignore all other issues. Sad we have morons like this, and Steve, allowed to vote.

There is nothing in the budget that would bring investment here, nothing. Liberal policies both in Ontario and at the federal level drive business away. Hydro alone has killed thousands of jobs for over a decade since the rates have continually been out of control. When Xstata moved its smelter 250 kms east of Timmins just to get away from Ontario hydro rates and took 00 jobs, all good paying jobs, out of the Province 6 years ago , Wyndbag would not admit it was due to hydro costs, even though the President of the company said it was the one and only reason for the move. There are hundreds of such stories yet the Liberals ignore the realities of what their failed policies have created and double down on the stupid.

The bombardier execs just cut themselves cheques for about 36 million . Just some of the great investment dollars spent by the Liberals . They were hat in hand looking for money to keep people employed , Trudeau obliged , thousands were still laid off (worldwide) and the bosses were well rewarded for guiding the company to about a half billion dollar loss last year. Smile all around.

I imagine any 'right to work' state in the southern US would give all sorts of incentives to have any automaker (re)locate a plant in their state. Previous to Trump's arrival, Mexico would be the main rival for new automaker investment. GM's Oshawa Truck Plant was closed shortly after GM retooled a plant to build the same models in Mexico.

Since Trump arrived on the scene, Ford seems to be scared shitless by him. I haven't heard of Chrysler, GM or any of the transplants changing plans.

did you read that in a trump tweet?

the big 3 do what they want when they want, they have no fear.  Their percent of the market is too huge even for Trump.  Why didn't trump make Ford join up with Apple or Google?  because he can't do shit

Trudeau later elaborated on the high-tech theme during a visit to auto parts pioneer Magna International Inc. (TSX:MG), where he highlighted Ottawa's five-year, $125-million investments in artificial intelligence — what he called a "platform" technology.

"In the same way that electricity revolutionized manufacturing, and the microprocessor reinvented how we gather, analyze and communicate information, artificial intelligence will cut across nearly every industry in Canada," Trudeau said in Brampton, Ont.

"It will shape the world that our kids and grandkids grow up in, and we can either be a part of that, help steer its direction and take advantage of the good, middle-class jobs it will create, or we can watch other countries step in."

Talk about an oxymoron, Trudeau talking about intelligence and his repeated use of "good middle class jobs".

He couldn't handle a 40 or 48 hour a week middle class job w/ 2 weeks vacation.

Unfortunately there were no reports of him or Wynnebag being hit by a forklift while in the plant.

So Trudope kept talking about transparency. It seems that is as long as it is convenient for him and his government. It seems that at times things can jump to the forefront and then over time fade into obscurity which is what Trudope prays for on a regular basis.

His after all it's 2015 BS where he made an inexperienced window washer a cabinet minister came back to bite him. Immigration has a tip line which is the source from at least 6 individuals,of an investigation into the citizenship of Maryam Monsef who falsified her citizenship application and passport information. She "says" she thought she was born in Afghanistan and that is the lie her mother used when they claimed refugee status in 1996.

Monsef’s case may mirror that of a 19-year-old Concordia University student who was recently stripped of her Canadian citizenship because her mother allegedly lied on her citizenship application.

Because both CBSA and IRCC officials report to partisan Liberal ministers and political staff appointed by Justin Trudeau, this case may give rise to a conflict of interest.

Can these Liberal ministers be counted on to remain neutral and unbiased as officials within their departments investigate a caucus colleague? Can the non-partisan civil servants independently assess Monsef without any interference or intimidation from their political bosses?

How can the public trust this investigation will be truly independent?

All the current silence and her still being in cabinet seems to show Trudope has been successful at sweeping this under the carpet. You want to bet it all goes quietly away.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s approval rating has dropped somewhat over the past year and a half, but it remains the envy of most world leaders, according to a new Ipsos poll conducted on behalf of Global News.

The poll found that over half of Canadians (56 per cent) continue to approve of the Liberal government, down from 61 per cent since the New Year. Disapproval of Trudeau’s performance climbed five points up to 44 per cent.

Thirty-nine per cent of decided voters would cast a ballot for the Liberals if an election were held tomorrow, while the Conservatives would win 32 per cent of the vote and the NDP 20 per cent — virtually identical to the results of the 2015 federal election, the survey found.

The survey also found that people with six-figure incomes were more supportive of the Liberals (44 per cent) than the Conservatives (26 per cent). Respondents with university degrees were also more likely to support the Trudeau government (38 per cent) than his Conservative rivals (25 per cent).

polls are so dumb unless of course in favour of the Conservatives

its going to be a very long decade here on the sledders-of-hate

Hmmm... which numbers do you want to believe

A survey, published by Forum Research for the Toronto Star, found Trudeau's approval rating sitting at 48 per cent, down three points since December and 10 points since November, with his disapproval rating increasing to 42 from 32 per cent two months ago.

Forum Research says a 48% approval rate and disapproval of 42% while Fail quotes an IPSOS poll for Global that shows 56% approval.

As usual Fail only looks for what suits his agenda and doesn't bother to pay attention to the full article that he quotes from.

Kevin O’Leary Conservatives could pose threat to Justin Trudeau Liberals in 2019: Ipsos poll

“We’ll see when people look at the potential of another person being the prime minister, whether or not they look at [Trudeau] and say ‘I’m pretty happy with him’ or we start to see further erosion,” he said.

“Right now he’s only able to achieve that [approval rating] facing nobody.”

But neither Prime Minister Justin Trudeau nor Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland referenced the pending defence policy when asked Friday about the Trump administration’s calls for a spending plan.

Rather, in separate comments, both Trudeau and Freeland repeated the government’s previous argument there are ways other than money to measure Canada’s military contributions.

“We understand there are different metrics in terms of evaluating how people are pulling their weight and contributing fully to NATO,” Trudeau said during an event in Toronto.

“Canada has always done more than its share in NATO and we will continue.”

Hasn't a country's contribution to NATO been measured by percentage of GDP? These asshats/pantywaists/snowflakes come along & try to dream up some other 'metric' to measure Canada's effort.

I guess they figure when everyone is comparing apples to apples, they trot out some apples to oranges nonsense that nobody is bothered with.

Then what can you expect when deflection is almost as notable as the Fiberal's dedication to transparency?
